“The World is Too Much with Us”
the world is too much with us; late and soon
getting and spending, we lay waste our powers
little we see in nature that is ours
we have given our hearts away, a sordid boon (terrible exchange)!
Im going to see some of the beauty that we have lost. Here are three questions that I’m asking myself. So, I can understand the poem’s meaning and purpose. Answering them should help you understand them too:
1. 1. Is the world too valuable to me? What does he mean by the “world”?
Answer:: yes, it s, very valuable, of course. We live in the world not alone, but there are many people. The world very valuable because we unite the world with peoples who have a different character. Nature is so beautiful. And too many cultures in every region and even in every country. Any differences that make our life more colorful. The world teaches us to appreciate the differences that exist. Learning to maintain and preserve nature around us. The world gives us the space, tools for work and creativity. The world is also the place to share. Therefore, we must create peace and prosperity wherever we are.
The meaning of world is filled with people who every time the numbers increase and also the natural environment that should be preserved and maintained by humans. But sometimes we, humans, let the state of nature around us to be in vain. The lack of a sense of caring and letting us all destroyed. The world becomes damaged due to irresponsible human actions.
2. 2. Have I given my heart away for the wrong things?
Answer:: Yes, I have. I've done the wrong thing in my life. I know that every human being in this world has a short life. Given the world a beautiful natural and man must take care of properly. I understand this, but it is very difficult for me to do it. I just got upset about people trying to damage the natural environment, but I am not quite able to maintain it properly. But now, I know that as humans we should be concerned and responsible for what happens in this world.
3. 3. Why have I sometimes preferred the cheap things and “wasting” things of this world instead of those things that are valuable and life giving?
Answer:: Sometimes we think that something that is cheap and wasting more fun. We don’t realize that something that seems small in fact have a value that is very valuable. For example, we use more time just to have fun, but don’t produce something useful, instead we use our time and money to charity to others more needy.
